Description
This is part of a series of paintings with different species of foxes representing each of the four seasons. Spring is represented by the Gray Fox.
Here a young gray fox is hanging out among the branches of a flowering cherry tree. Gray foxes climb trees and are equally at home in them as they are on the ground. Spring is a time of youth, of reaching up and preparing for the future. The original painting is a miniature measuring 4 x 4". I have scanned it and digitally rendered it here so that larger prints can be made, however, the smaller size of the print, the truer it will be to the original and what is viewed here. I recommend larger print sizes be done on canvas to better give a painterly effect. I also recommend this and the other seasonal fox paintings for a boxed set of greeting cards.
